Start-up NXT Air Cargo has received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) and expects to launch services at the end of this month to four domestic destinations.
Nizam Ahmad, CEO and managing director of NXT Air Cargo, tells Smart Aviation Asia Pacific that the airline has received its AOC and plans to start operations on 29 January.
He says NXT Air Cargo’s immediate flight schedule is focused on serving four destinations: Cox’s Bazar Airport, Jashore Airport, Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport.
Smart Aviation Asia Pacific previously reported that the airline took delivery of an ATR 72-212 from lessor ACIA Aero Leasing last year and has plans to add more ATR freighters and a Boeing 737 freighter in 2022.
Ahmad says the airline is currently looking to add another aircraft by the end of February.
